UNDERGLASS

Widget studio for iPhone

Widgets drawn like instruments.

Underglass is a studio of widgets for your Home Screen, Lock Screen and StandBy. Each pack has a look of its own, and every widget shows only what's real: read on your iPhone, worked out from the date and your place, or fetched from Apple Weather, with the time it was taken.

For iPhone, iOS 26 or later.

The Matrix Clock widget: 03:30:31 in amber dots, with Sat, Oct 3 and AM above.

Matrix

A dot-matrix display, on one grid.

Clock, world clock, weather, your next event, the month, the moon and your battery, every character lit on the same grid of dots in a typeface drawn for it. Choose from nine glows, and a True Black, Graphite or Hardware background: a machined LED module with glass over the dots. On the Lock Screen and in StandBy, only the lit dots are drawn.

The Matrix Clock is free.

The World Clock widget in a blue glow: London 04:30 AM, New York 11:30 PM, Tokyo 12:30 PM.

Your iPhone's heat, as iOS reports it.

Heat shows your iPhone's thermal state as light: Cool, Warm, Hot or Critical, with the last 24 hours alongside. It's on the Home Screen, the Lock Screen and in Control Center, and Siri or Shortcuts can take a reading without opening the app.

iOS doesn't give apps a temperature, so Underglass never shows degrees and never guesses one. Every reading says when it was taken, and the history marks which stretches were actually watched.

The Heat widget at Warm: a four-segment bar lit to Warm, the note that iOS may defer background work, and a 24-hour history.
Heat · medium
The Heat widget at Hot, with iOS's own word for it, serious, and the time it was updated.
Heat · small

These are the app's own widgets, drawn by its code on a fixed test day (Saturday, October 3, 2026). The times, events and readings in them are test values. On your iPhone they show your time, your calendars and your iPhone's readings.
